Notifix is Like Gmail Bundles, but for Your Android Notifications

Notifications have transitioned from mere alerts to be a vital part of every service and app out there. Google, consequently, has tried to keep up and introduced, year after year, Android features which allow you to put a leash on your notifications. Too many from the same app? Group them into bundles. It’s appropriately named “Notifix” and unlike what it may seem at first glance, Notifix is not just another notification manager.

You can think of Notifix as Gmail bundles. The app groups together notifications from every app into five categories — Primary, Promotions, News, Messages, and Social. It does so by reading the notification content and what type of application has dispatched it. Therefore, for instance, messages from WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger will beclubbed together in a single “Social” notification.

To expand them, you simply need to tap it and Notifix will open up another separate panel with all the individual notifications. Since this new panel is technically a custom feature, you’ll miss on a few native features such as long-press to reveal, snooze and mute options. Notifix employs Google’s Tensorflow integrations and hence, it doesn’t require any manual configurations. All you need to do is grant the necessary permissions and all set.

Moreover, the developer has also included the ability to set up a buffer period as well. What this means is that you can specify a duration only after which the app will group the notifications. For instance, if you configure five minutes for messages, Notifix will begin categorizing alerts from chatting apps when you leave them unattended for five minutes.

Notifix is certainly one of those apps everyone should download. It does function well and accurately segregates notifications into various divisions.
